Caarraige House redo

OK it is finished, what a job. The room is beautiful if I say myself. The color of the walls is great and the white bead board really makes the room. The king bed that can turn into two twins is the best part. We well be ready to put the room back into service this weekend. Now on to the next room. Also as you can see the hole on the side of my house is just about done, so flowers will be growing. Watch for next room.

Carriage House redo and basment repair

OK it has been several days and a lot has been happening. First the room is completely painted. The carpenter has attached all the bead board and trim. The head board for the bed is attached to the wall. The carpenter is completing the corneas for the curtains and I have purchased the blinds for the other windows. This weekend we should be able to finish the room completely. So watch for the completed pictures. Of course we could not do just one project so we have started on the basement. Ad you can see form the pictures we now have a fifteen foot long and six foot deep. The workmen are now sealing the walls and fixing them. Hopefully this well fix the water problems. I well send pictures as they finish.   Talk soon.

Carraige House Redo

OK here we are several days into the redo. This weekend we were able to paint the room. We chose a green/gray paint. Up against the white woodwork it looks great. We put the new headboard in the room and really like it. Thursday we will get the beadboard for the bottom of the walls, and the beds. Hopefully by the weekend the beadboard will be up. But what to do about the windows?  We would like to put some kind of shade or blind but the front window is a problem because there is no room to put the shades inside the windows. We will have to think hard on that. Talk soon.

Carriage House Renovation

Well, it's been about 12 years so we thought it was time for a make-over.  We are completely changing the look of the Carriage House... stripping wallpaper, painting, caulking, installing beadboard on the bottom of the walls and a new king size bed.  Best part about the bed is that it can be separated into 2 extra long single beds!  Now we can accomodate those folks that called and asked if we had one room with 2 beds.  Usually a Dad and Daughter, Mother and Son, 2 sisters, etc.

The new look for the Carriage House will be a "cottage" look.  Bead board on the bottom of the walls, painted on top.  Clean and fresh!  Here are a few photos.  We will add more and update our progress as we get things done.
